NEW HAMPSHIRE AMATEUR SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION STATE CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM FOR SLOW/MODIFIED PITCH
2002
- All Slow Pitch Independent teams must play in the B/C Slow Pitch Division of tournament play, if they wish to participate. All Modified Pitch Independent teams must play in the highest level of play offered.
- For a team to be eligible to participate in the Class D or E Slow Divisions you Must play in a league of at least four teams and all the teams in the League Must be registered with NH ASA in 2002.
Teams may not register the night of the draw.You must be registered prior to June 21, 2002 to be eligible to participate in NHASA State Tournament Play, as you must turn in an Official ASA roster at the draw. A team may not register at the draw.
- If a team wins either the State Class D or E Slow Pitch Tournaments in 2002 you must move up to the higher division of play the following year.
A team that wins one of the two State class D Slow Qualifier tournaments must move up the following year if you have five or more players returning.
- Class E Slow Pitch playing rules:
- NO HOME RUNS ALLOWED: If the ball goes over the fence, the batter is out. The batter may remain in the game, the next batter is also out. The next time a home run is hit over the fence, the batter is out and removed from the game, and the next batter is out. Any out not enforced in the immediate inning will be carried over to the next inning. If a player is removed from the game by this Rule, each time his spot in the batting order comes up it will be an Automatic out each time he was scheduled to bat.
- There will be a fifteen run-ahead rule after three innings and twelve runs after five complete innings.
- UNIFORMS: Each team must have identical t-shirts(color/style) and a six inch minimum number on the back of each shirt.
- Everyone who shows up for the game must be placed in the batting order.
The batting order will not change once the game starts unless a player comes late, then he shall be placed at the bottom of the batting order. You may change positions in the field at anytime during the game but the batting order must remain the same.
- A 44 core ball will be used in the classification.
- No player that participated in the Class D,C,B Slow pitch division will be allowed in this division of play. This includes the Class D State Slow Pitch qualifier tournaments in 2002.
- This division of play is for Recreational teams.
- Official ASA Rosters will be used for this division of play: no other roster will be accepted.
- The NHASA must have at least six(6) teams entered to offer this division of play.
ADULT Coed Slow Pitch Rules: Teams in the State A Division will be allowed three(3 home runs over the fence. In Class B State Coed you will be allowed one(1) home run over the fence. Effect: For any in excess, the ball is dead, the batter is out, and no runners can advance.
